Coach Amit Mehra

I am a Leadership, Executive and Career Transition Coach in the corporate sector. I am an Engineer and MBA from top-tier colleges – Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Varanasi and Faculty of Management Studies (FMS), University of Delhi.
Industry Experience:

I have a senior leadership experience of 34 years in various multinational companies responsible for India and South Asia in various sectors – Healthcare, Pharmaceuticals, EdTech, Telecom and Office Automation. I have been responsible for Business, People and Profits. I have worked in large global companies like Johnson and Johnson Medical, Medtronic, Sun Pharma and Ranbaxy Laboratories in India, South Asia and the US.

In the corporate career, I have led large teams in Sales, Marketing, Operations, Business Units, Key Account Management with responsibility for P/L and business turnaround in the times of crisis. While execution has been my forte, I have also been responsible for leading strategic planning and new initiatives in the companies that I worked for.

Concurrent to my corporate career, I have been a part of the Start-up ecosystem as an angel investor and member of the due diligence team in Mumbai Angels Investors. I have been privileged to wear the hat of a CEO coach with a few start-ups’.

Coaching Style

I have always believed that the missing link between successful outcomes and the failed ones is the people who have the accountability for the task. People development has been my passion and I am happy to be doing it after my stint in the corporate sector.

I add value to my clients by blending my diverse experience of 3 decades managing large teams and deploying interventions from Positive Psychology, Emotional Intelligence, and Affirmative inquiry. I help the clients to uncover their real issues, support them in their development areas and achieve their potential by working on their strengths.

I follow a conversational style of coaching that includes active listening, offering observations and inquiries, and direct communication. The outcome for the client could be an acknowledgment, awareness, realization, or a set of actionable steps.
